How to Purchase Nuxas

A complete, beginner-friendly guide to the two Nuxas editions — Code Only and Code + Decap CMS — including what each edition includes, how much it costs, and where to buy it.

How to Purchase Nuxas

Nuxas is available in two editions. Both editions give you the same high-quality Nuxt 4 foundation, but they differ in how you manage your content after the site is built. This chapter explains the difference in plain language, so you can choose the edition that fits your situation.

Before we look at the editions, let us clarify one thing: both editions are one-time purchases. You pay once, you own the code forever. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, and no seat limits. You can use the code on your own projects, on client projects, or on commercial SaaS products.

Edition 1 — Nuxas Code Only

The Code Only edition is the foundation of Nuxas. It includes everything you need to build and launch a SaaS product: the full Nuxt 4 source code, strict TypeScript, the Stripe and Lemon Squeezy integration, the SEO pipeline, the dark and light theming system, the accessible components, and the blog and product collections.

With the Code Only edition, you edit content directly in Markdown and YAML files using a code editor like Visual Studio Code. If you are comfortable with files and folders, this is the most flexible and the most affordable option.

What you get:

  • Full Nuxt 4 and Nitro source code
  • 100% strict TypeScript across client and server
  • Dark and light theme with zero flash of unstyled content
  • Stripe and Lemon Squeezy integration ready
  • WCAG AA accessible components
  • Blog and product collections with Markdown
  • SEO pipeline: sitemap, meta tags, Open Graph, structured data
  • Lifetime updates, no recurring fees

Price: $59 USD, one-time payment.

Edition 2 — Nuxas + Decap CMS

The Code + Decap CMS edition includes everything in the Code Only edition, plus a fully integrated Decap CMS dashboard. Decap CMS is a browser-based content management system that lets you edit your blog, products, and site content without touching a single line of code.

If you are building a site for a client, or if you plan to hand off the site to someone who is not a developer, this edition is the right choice. Your client logs in to a dashboard, edits their content, and publishes. They never need to open a code editor.

What you get:

  • Everything in the Code Only edition
  • Decap CMS pre-configured and integrated
  • Git-based content workflow without a database
  • A client-ready admin dashboard
  • Ideal for agency handoffs
  • Lifetime updates, no recurring fees

Price: $84 USD, one-time payment.

How to Decide Which Edition Is Right for You

Ask yourself these three questions:

  1. Will I be the only person editing this site? If yes, and if you are comfortable editing files, the Code Only edition is enough.
  2. Will a client or a non-technical collaborator need to edit the site? If yes, choose the Code + Decap CMS edition. It will save you hours of training and back-and-forth.
  3. Do I want to avoid the terminal entirely after launch? If yes, choose the Code + Decap CMS edition. You can update content from any browser, on any device.

If you are still unsure, the Code + Decap CMS edition is the safer choice. It costs more upfront, but it gives you a dashboard that makes content management trivial. Many buyers start with Code Only, then upgrade to Code + Decap CMS later when they realize they want the dashboard. Buying the CMS edition upfront saves you the upgrade.

What Happens After You Pay

After you complete the purchase on Gumroad, you will receive an email with a download link. The download is a ZIP file that contains the full source code of Nuxas.

Inside the ZIP, you will find:

  • The complete Nuxt 4 project, ready to run
  • A README.md file with a quick-start guide
  • The documentation you are reading now (as part of the project)
  • Environment variable examples
  • License information

The next chapter explains exactly what to do with that ZIP file, step by step.

A Word on Licensing

Both editions come with a commercial license. You can use Nuxas to build SaaS products, client websites, or internal tools. You can modify the code as much as you want. You can deploy it to any hosting provider.

The only restriction is that you cannot resell Nuxas itself as a template, theme, or boilerplate. You can sell the products you build with Nuxas, but you cannot sell Nuxas.

If you have questions about licensing for a specific use case, the last chapter of this documentation explains how to reach us.

Where to Go Next

If you have already purchased Nuxas, the next chapter will walk you through what to do first. If you have not purchased yet, take a moment to decide which edition fits your needs, then return to this documentation when you are ready.

Either way, welcome to Nuxas. We are glad you are here.
